How it works

Your child is not one-size-fits-all. Neither is the Trexo.

Every Trexo Theo is made-to-fit and prescribed for your child. Three stages take you from reservation to your child's first walk at home, with your own therapist and our US clinical team alongside you.

  • 01

    Reserve

Every Trexo Theo is built once a family has reserved. A refundable deposit holds your place, and we size and accessorize the device for where your child is today.

  • 02

    Assessment and prescription

We send you an assessment package. Your child's therapist takes the measurements and completes the assessment, a licensed clinician writes the prescription, and our clinical team confirms the size and fit.

  • 03

    Train, then walk at home

Your Trexo Theo ships to a Trexo Center near you. A Trexo Certified Trainer trains you and your child there, you complete companion certification, and the device goes home with you. Your 14-day trial period starts from your start date.

FAQ

Questions families ask

Ask us something else
Is Trexo Theo cleared in the United States?

Yes. Trexo Theo received 510(k) clearance from the FDA. The full Indication for Use, contraindications and precautions are on our Indications and safety information page, linked in the footer.

Who is Trexo Theo for?

Trexo Theo is indicated for patients 12 years and older with cerebral palsy. It is a prescription device: a physician orders it and our clinical team confirms fit, sizing and any contraindications before delivery.

Can we use it at home?

Yes. Theo is intended for community use under the supervision of a trained companion, usually a parent, who completes Trexo's companion certification. The same device is used in clinics under a certified therapist.

What about children under 12, or other diagnoses?

In the US, Theo is currently cleared for ages 12 and up with cerebral palsy. If your child falls outside that, talk to our team: we can tell you what's possible today and keep you informed as the indication evolves.

How is it sized?

Four sizes, fitted to hip-to-knee and knee-to-floor length and adjustable as your child grows, up to 150 lb. Your child's therapist takes the measurements during the assessment and our clinical team confirms the size before the device is built. The sizing chart shows the ranges.

What does a session look like?

Most families walk several times a week. A session is set up by the certified companion or therapist: mode, assistance level, speed and prompts are configured to the child, and every step is recorded.

How do we get started?
